Vp is a long established group which has evolved over a 60 year trading history. The Company was founded in 1954 and floated on the UK Stock Market in 1973 as Vibroplant plc.
In 2000, the Company exited its historically core general plant business to focus on higher return specialist activities.
Since then the Group has developed a wide range of sector leading, specialist rental businesses serving a diverse range of end markets in the UK and increasingly, internationally.

VP have announced dividend increase of 4.0% to 39.0 pence per share
The VP Board has recommended a final dividend of 27.5 pence per share. If approved, the full-year dividend would increase to 39.0 pence per share with dividend cover of 1.9 times (2023: 2.1 times) based upon adjusted basic earnings per share. At 31 March 2024, 40.2 million shares were in issue, of which 609,000 were held by Vp's Employee Trust.
VP Plc announce an interim dividend increased by 4.5% to 11.5 pence per share
The VP Plc Directors have declared an interim dividend of 11.50 pence per share (H1 2023: 11.00 pence) payable on 10 January 2024 to shareholders on the register at 8 December 2023. The dividend declared will absorb an estimated £4.537 million (H1 2023: £4.359 million) of shareholders' funds.
VP has proposed a final dividend of 26.5 pence per share
The VP Board has proposed a final dividend of 26.5 pence per share to be paid on 4 August 2023 to shareholders on the register at 23 June 2023. Including the interim dividend of 11.0 pence per share, this makes a total dividend for the year of 37.5 pence per share (2022: 36.0 pence per share).

The VP Group Board has proposed a final dividend of 25.5 pence per share to be paid on 5 August 2022 to shareholders on the register at 24 June 2022. Including the interim dividend of 10.5 pence per share, this makes a total dividend for the year of 36.0 pence per share (FY-2021: 22.0 pence per share).

The VP PLC Directors have declared an interim dividend of 10.5 pence per share payable on 11 January 2022 to shareholders on the register at 10 December 2021. The dividend declared will absorb an estimated £4.15 million.
VP PLC propose a final dividend of 25.0 pence per share
The VP Board has proposed a final dividend of 25.0 pence per share to be paid on 5 August 2021 to shareholders on the register at 25 June 2021. As no interim dividend was paid, this makes a total dividend for the year of 25.0 pence per share (2020: 30.45 pence per share). A special dividend of 22.0 pence per share was paid to shareholders on 17 January 2021 in lieu of the final dividend for the financial year ended 31 March 2020, which was delayed due to Covid-19 uncertainties.

The VP Group Directors have declared a special dividend of 22.00 pence per share payable on 17 January 2021 to shareholders on the register at 18 December 2020. This is in lieu of the final dividend for the Financial Year ended 31 March 2020. The dividend declared will absorb an estimated £8,672,000.
VP plc announce an interim dividend increase by 3% to 8.45 pence per share
The Directors have declared an interim dividend of 8.45 pence (H1 2019: 8.20 pence) per share payable on 17 January 2020 to shareholders on the register at 13 December 2019. The dividend declared will absorb an estimated £3,342,000 (H1 2019: £3,247,000) of shareholders funds. The dividend proposed at the year-end was subsequently approved at the AGM in July 2019 and £8,705,000 was paid in the period (H1 2019: £7,606,000 was paid). The cost of dividends in the Statement of Changes in Equity is after adjustments for the interim and final dividends waived by the Vp Employee Trust in relation to the shares it holds for the Group's share option schemes.
VP Group increases its 2017 interim dividend by 12%
Profit before amortisation and tax rose 9% to £18.7 million (H1 2016: £17.2 million) on revenues 16% higher at £121.7 million (H1 2016: £105.1 million). This performance reflects strong underlying organic growth in most of our businesses, plus contributions from the acquisitions of Higher Access and TR Group in March and April 2016 respectively. Earnings per share, pre-amortisation, increased 8% to 37.9 pence per share (H1 2016: 35.1 pence per share). Return on capital employed at 15.6% is strong and remains ahead of our long term target of 15% emphasising the quality of the revenue and profit growth that the Group is generating.
