Centrica plc announce an interim dividend up 33% to 1.33p per share
The Centrica plc Directors propose an interim dividend of 1.33 pence per ordinary share (totalling £74 million) for the six months ended 30 June 2023. The dividend will be paid on 16 November 2023 to those shareholders registered on 5 October 2023.
Centrica plc declare 2022 full year dividend of 3.0p
Centrica previously announced an interim dividend per share of 1.0p. They are declaring a 2022 final dividend of 2.0p per share, which takes the full year dividend to 3.0p. Longer term, they expect the dividend to be progressive and dividend cover from earnings to move to around 2x over time, recognising the ratio is likely to vary each year dependent on the business cycle.

As expected, Centrica rebase their dividend from 12p to 5p, paying 1.5p at the interim stage. 2019 full year expected dividend rebased to 5.0p per share reflecting changed circumstances, including the UK default tariff price cap, and additional pension deficit contributions and restructuring charges.
Possible effects of the tax treatment of dividends from April 2016
