About Telefonica S.A

Telefonica is a Spanish telecommunications giant with operations in Europe, the US and Latin America. It is the 5th largest telephony operator globally, previously being the Spanish national carrier until being privatised in 1997.

For 2012 it has decided against the very difficult economic backdrop in Spain to have a dividend holiday. It will resume payments in 2013 with the next payout being Q4 2013.
