About Fomento De Construcciones Y Contratas, S.A.

Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas was created by the merger in March 1992, of Construccione Y Contratas and Fomento De Obras Y Construcciones. The company while still operating and maintaining the majority of its revenuethrough its construction arm has deversified into the services and cement industry. The company is also involved in solid waste collection and disposal, street-cleaning, water supply, maintenance of drinking and waste water treatment plants.

FCC is the parent of one of Europe's largest groups in the provision of services for citizens, both in terms of turnover and profitability.

  • FCC has three major areas of activity, based on a balanced business model.
  • The Infrastructure division works in the areas of construction and industrial activity.
  • The Services division covers two large areas: environmental services and services for citizens.

Energy is a business area that is undergoing a process of consolidation, and which generates business in the field of renewable energy.
In 2010, FCC posted turnover of €12.114 billion, 46% of which came from international markets, mainly Europe and United States.
