Parker-Hannifin Corporation, incorporated on December 30, 1938, is a manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, providing precision engineered solutions for a range of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. The Company operates through segments: Diversified Industrial and Aerospace Systems. The Diversified Industrial Segment is an aggregation of several business units, which manufacture motion-control and fluid power system components for builders and users of various types of manufacturing, packaging, processing, transportation, agricultural, construction, and military vehicles and equipment. The Aerospace Systems Segment produces hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems and components, which are utilized on domestic commercial, military and general aviation aircrafts.
Diversified Industrial Segment
The Company's Diversified Industrial segment includes a range of motion-control and fluid systems and components, which are described by group, including Automation Group, Engineered Materials Group, Filtration Group, Fluid Connectors Group, Hydraulics Group and Instrumentation Group. Diversified Industrial segment products include standard products, as well as custom products which are engineered and produced to original equipment manufacturers' (OEMs) specifications for application to particular end products. Both standard and custom products are also used in the replacement of original products.
The Automation Group consists of pneumatic, fluidic and electromechanical components and systems, including air regulators/filters; electric actuators and stages; fluid control valves; fluid system mass flow meters/controllers; grippers; inverters; miniature air/liquid pumps; motion controllers; pneumatic control valves; pneumatic cylinders; pressure and flow controls; servo motors and drives; solenoid valves, and vacuum variable frequency drives. The Engineered Materials Group consists of static and dynamic sealing devices, including dynamic seals; homogeneous and inserted elastomeric shapes; elastomeric O-rings; medical device fabrication and assembly; electro-medical instrument design and assembly; metal and plastic retained composite seals; electromagnetic interference shielding; shielded optical windows; extruded and precision-cut fabricated elastomeric seals; silicone tubing and extrusions; thermal management; high-temperature metal seals, and vibration dampening.
The Filtration Group consists of filters, systems and diagnostics solutions to monitor and remove contaminants from fuel, air, oil, water and other liquids and gases, including industrial and analytical gas generators; instrumentation filters; compressed air and gas treatment solutions; membrane and fiber filters; filtration and purification systems; fluid condition monitoring systems; sterile air filters; hydraulic and lubrication filters, and water purification filters and systems. The Fluid Connectors Group consists of connectors, which control, transmit and contain fluid, including check valves; polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) hose and tubing; quick couplings; diagnostic equipment; rubber and thermoplastic hose; hose couplings; tube fittings and adapters; industrial hose, and tubing and plastic fittings.
The Hydraulics Group consists of hydraulic components and systems for builders and users of industrial and mobile machinery and equipment, including accumulators; hydraulic systems; cartridge valves; hydraulic valves and controls; coolers; hydrostatic steering units; electrohydraulic actuators; integrated hydraulic circuits; electronic displays and human machine interfaces; power take-offs; electronic input/output (I/O) controllers; power units; fan drives; power units; fan drives; rotary actuators; hybrid drives; sensors; hydraulic cylinders; hydraulic motors and pumps, and telematic controllers. The Instrumentation Group consists of critical flow components for process instrumentation, healthcare and purity applications and components for use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems and in fluid control applications for processing, fuel dispensing, beverage dispensing and mobile emissions, including accumulators; Fluid system fittings, valves, regulators and manifold valves; high pressure fittings, valves, pumps and systems; high-purity gas delivery fittings, valves and regulators; natural gas on-board fuel systems; pressure regulating valves; refrigeration and air conditioning electronic controls and monitoring; compressed natural gas dispensers; cryogenic valves; electronic controllers; electronic valves, and filter driers.
Aerospace Systems Segment
The Aerospace Systems segment offers various products, which are used on commercial, and military airframe and engine programs. Its products include control actuation systems and components; engine systems and components; fluid conveyance systems and components; fluid metering, delivery and atomization devices; fuel systems and components; fuel tank inerting systems; hydraulic systems and components; lubrication components; power conditioning and management systems; thermal management, and wheels and brakes.
