About Allegion plc
Allegion Public Limited Company, incorporated on May 9, 2013, is a provider of security products and solutions. The Company offers a portfolio of mechanical and electronic security products across a range of brands. Its segments include Americas; Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA), and Asia Pacific. Its products include door closers and controls; door and door frames (steel); electronic security products; electronic and biometric access control systems; exit devices; locks, locksets, portable locks and key systems; time, attendance and workforce productivity systems, and other accessories. The Company sells a range of security products and solutions for end users in commercial, institutional and residential facilities across the world, including into the education, healthcare, government, hospitality, commercial office and single and multi-family residential markets. As of December 31, 2016, it manufactured and sold mechanical and electronic security products and solutions in approximately 130 countries.
The Company's locks, locksets, portable locks and key systems include a range of cylindrical and mortise door locksets, security levers and master key systems that are used to protect and control access. The Company also offers a range of portable security products, including bicycle, small vehicle and travel locks. Its door closers and exit devices include a portfolio of life-safety products generally installed on fire doors and facility entrances and exits. Its electronic security products and access control systems include a range of electrified locks, access control systems, biometric hand reader systems, key card and reader systems and accessories. Its time, attendance and workforce productivity systems include products and services, which are designed to help business customers manage and monitor workforce access control parameters, attendance and employee scheduling. It offers ongoing aftermarket services in addition to design and installation offerings. Its doors and door frames include a portfolio of hollow metal doors and door frames. It offers a range of additional security and product components, including hinges, door levers, door stops, louvers, weather stripping, thresholds and other accessories, as well as certain bathroom fittings products.
Americas
The Company's Americas segment provided security products and solutions in approximately 30 countries throughout North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America, as of December 31, 2016. The Americas segment's brands include Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN.
Europe, Middle East, India and Africa
The Company's EMEIA segment provided security products and solutions in approximately 85 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, as of December 31, 2016. The EMEIA segment's brands are AXA, Bricard, CISA, Interflex and SimonsVoss. This segment also resells Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN products, primarily in the Middle East.
Asia Pacific
The Company's Asia Pacific segment provided security products and solutions in approximately 14 countries throughout the Asia Pacific region, as of December 31, 2016. The Asia Pacific segment's brands are Milre, Schlage, CISA, Gainsborough Hardware, API Locksmiths, Von Duprin and LCN.
