About Tiffany & Co.
Tiffany & Co., incorporated on August 16, 1984, is a holding company that operates through its subsidiary companies. The Company's principal subsidiary, Tiffany and Company (Tiffany), is a jeweler and specialty retailer. Through its subsidiaries, the Company designs and manufactures products and operates TIFFANY & CO. retail stores around the world, and also sells its products through Internet, catalog, business-to-business and wholesale operations. The Company's segments include Americas, Asia-Pacific, Japan, Europe and Other. The Company also sells timepieces, leather goods, sterling silverware, china, crystal, stationery, fragrances and accessories.
Americas
The Americas segment includes sale in Company-operated TIFFANY & CO. stores in the United States, Canada and Latin America, as well as sales of TIFFANY & CO. products in certain markets through Internet, catalog, business-to-business and wholesale operations. As of January 31, 2017, the Retail sales in the Americas were transacted in 125 Company-operated TIFFANY & CO. stores in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Chile. As of January 31, 2017, included within these totals were 13 Company-operated stores located within various department stores in Canada and Mexico.
Asia-Pacific
As of January 31, 2017, the Asia-Pacific segment included 85 Company-operated TIFFANY & CO. stores in China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Singapore, Macau, Malaysia and Thailand. As of January 31, 2017, included within these totals were 30 Company-operated stores located within various department stores. The Company sells TIFFANY & CO. products in certain markets through Internet and wholesale operations.
Japan
As of January 31, 2017, the Japan segment included 55 Company-operated TIFFANY & CO. stores. As of January 31, 2017, included within this total were 50 stores located within department stores. There are four department store groups in Japan, which include Isetan Mitsukoshi Ltd., J. Front Retailing Co., Ltd. (Daimaru and Matsuzakaya department stores), Takashimaya Co., Ltd., and Seven & i Holding Co., Ltd (Sogo and Seibu department stores). As of January 31, 2017, the Company also operated 15 stores in other department stores.
Europe
As of January 31, 2017, the retail sales in Europe were transacted in 43 Company-operated TIFFANY & CO. stores in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Ireland, the Netherlands and Russia. As of January 31, 2017, included within these totals were eight Company-operated stores located within various department stores. The Company sales are conducted in the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
Other
The Other segment consists of segments, including retail sales and wholesale distribution in the emerging markets region; wholesale sales of diamonds, and licensing agreements. As of January 31, 2017, Retail sales were transacted in five Company-operated stores in the United Arab Emirates.
