The Cooper Companies, Inc., incorporated on March 4, 1980, is a global medical device company. The Company operates through two business units: CooperVision, Inc. (CooperVision ) and CooperSurgical, Inc. (CooperSurgical). CooperVision offers soft contact lenses for the vision correction market. CooperSurgical primarily develops, manufactures, markets medical devices and procedures solutions, and provides services to improve health care delivery to families.

COOPERVISION

CooperVision develops, manufactures and markets a range of single-use, two-week and monthly contact lenses, featuring various materials and optics. CooperVision's products are designed to solve vision challenges, such as astigmatism, presbyopia, ocular dryness and eye fatigue; with a collection of spherical, toric and multifocal contact lenses. CooperVision's contact lenses are offered in a variety of materials, including silicone hydrogel Aquaform technology and phosphorylcholine technology (PC) Technology. CooperVision's products are primarily manufactured at its facilities located in the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Hungary, Costa Rica and the United States. Its distribution facilities are located in the United States, the United Kingdom and Belgium, among others. CooperVision services three primary regions: the Americas; Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific. CooperVision offers spherical, aspherical, toric, multifocal and toric multifocal lens products in various modalities. Its products include Biofinity, clariti, Avaira and MyDay. 

COOPERSURGICAL

CooperSurgical offers an array of products and services focused on advancing the health of families through a portfolio of products and services focusing on women's health, including medical devices, fertility, genomics, diagnostics and contraception. CooperSurgical collaborates with clinicians to identify products and technologies from disposable products to diagnostic tests to instruments and equipment. The Company offers products, technologies and services to clinicians and patients. Its manufacturing and distribution facilities are located in Connecticut, Texas and Denmark. CooperSurgical participates in the market for women's healthcare with its product lines in three categories based on the point of healthcare delivery: hospitals and surgical centers, obstetricians' and gynecologists' (ob/gyns) medical offices, and fertility clinics.

The Company competes with Johnson & Johnson, Novartis AG, Boston Scientific, Olympus and Medtronic.
