Diploma plc announces final dividend of 42.0p per share
The Diploma plc Board has recommended a final dividend of 42.0p per share (2023: 40.0p), making the proposed full year dividend 59.3p (2023: 56.5p), up 5%, in line with the Board's dividend policy.
Diploma Plc have declared an interim dividend of 17.3p per share
The Dipolma plc Directors have declared an interim dividend of 17.3p per share (2023: 16.5p) which will be paid on 7 June 2024 to shareholders on the register on 24 May 2024. The total value of the dividend will be £23.2m (2023: £22.1m).
Diploma PLC declare an interim dividend of 16.5 pence per share
The Diploma Directors have declared an interim dividend of 16.5 per share (2022: 15.0p) which will be paid on 9 June 2023 to shareholders on the register on 26 May 2023. The total value of the dividend will be £22.1m (2022: £18.7m). No liability has been recognised on the balance sheet at 31 March 2023 in respect of the interim dividend (2022: same). During the period, the Directors became aware that approximately £2.5m of the FY21 interim dividend declared on 17 May 2021 was paid other than in accordance with the technical requirements of the Companies Act 2006. This was because interim accounts had not been filed at Companies house prior to the declaration of the dividend. It is intended that this technical issue, which has no impact on the Company's financial position, be ratified by a shareholders' resolution to be proposed in due course.

The Diploma PLC Directors have declared an interim dividend of 15.0p per share (2021: 12.5p) which will be paid on 10 June 2022 to shareholders on the register on 27 May 2022. The total value of the dividend will be £18.7m (2021: £15.6m). No liability has been recognised on the balance sheet at 31 March 2022 in respect of the interim dividend (2021: same).

The Diploma PLC Board has a progressive dividend policy that aims to increase the dividend each year, broadly in line with growth in adjusted EPS. The combination of strong results and free cash generation, supported by a robust balance sheet, has led the Board to recommend a 51% increase in the final dividend to 30.1p (2020: 20.0p) taking the total dividend for the year to 42.6p (2020: 30.0p). This represents dividend cover of 2.0x, in-line with their model. Subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), this dividend will be paid on 4 February 2022 to shareholders on the register at 21 January 2022.

The Diploma Directors have declared an interim dividend of 12.5p per share (2020: £nil) which will be paid on 16 June 2021 to shareholders on the register on 28 May 2021. The total value of the dividend will be £15.6m (2020: £nil).

The combination of strong results and free cash flow supported by a robust balance sheet has led the Diploma Board to recommend an increase in the final dividend of 15% to 20.5p per share (2018: 17.8p). Subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), this dividend will be paid on 22 January 2020 to shareholders on the register at 29 November 2019.
