Tate & Lyle produces an estimated 4m tonnes of cereal sweeteners and refines over 2m tonnes of sugar each year sold into around 35 countries. It has a sizeable global presence in cereal sweeteners and starches, sugar refining, value added food and industrial ingredients and citric acid, as well as industrial starches and wheat proteins. Tate & Lyle's main appeal for a potential stakeholder is the fact that it is the sole manufacturer of sucralose sugar substitute, Splenda.

Tate & Lyle plc announce an interim dividend +0.2p to 6.4p per share
The Tate & Lyler plc Board has approved an interim dividend for the six months to 30 September 2024 of 6.4p (2023 - 6.2p) per share. This dividend will be paid on 6 January 2025 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 22 November 2024.
Tate & Lyle plc are recommending final dividend of 12.9p per share: full-year dividend of 19.1p per share +3.2%
The Tate & Lyle Board is recommending a final dividend of 12.9p (2023 - 13.1p) per share. This brings the full year dividend to 19.1p (2023 - 18.5p), an increase of 3.2%. In February 2023, in their Capital Markets Event, we announced their policy of paying interim dividends at the level of one third of the previous year's full-year dividend, accordingly an interim dividend for the six months to 30 September 2023 was paid of 6.2p (30 September 2022 - 5.4p) per share. Subject to shareholder approval, the proposed final dividend will be due and payable on 2 August 2024 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 21 June 2024. In addition to the cash dividend option, shareholders will continue to be offered a Dividend Reinvestment Plan alternative.
Tate & Lyle Plc announce a 0.8p increase in interim dividend, up to 6.2p per share
The Tate & Lyle Board has approved an interim dividend for the six months to 30 September 2023 of 6.2p (2022 - 5.4p) per share. This is in line with the policy announced in their Capital Markets Event in February 2023 that interim dividends will be at the level of one-third of the previous year's full-year dividend. The dividend will be paid on 5 January 2024 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 24 November 2023. As well as the cash dividend option, shareholders will be offered a Dividend Reinvestment Plan alternative.
Tate & Lyle plc announce a final dividend of 2.5% to 13.1p per share
The Tate & Lyle Board is recommending a 0.3p or 2.5% increase in the final dividend to 13.1p (2022 - 12.8p) per share. In the previous year, the final dividend was re-based to reflect the Primient transaction and the associated share consolidation, while the interim dividend was paid at a higher rate (before re-basing). Reflecting this the full year dividend of 18.5p per share is lower than the prior year amount of 21.8p (18.1p rebased for reduced earnings base following the Primient transaction and impact of the share consolidation). Subject to shareholder approval, the proposed final dividend will be due and payable on 2 August 2023 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 23 June 2023. In addition to the cash dividend option, shareholders will continue to be offered a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) alternative.
Tate & Lyle approve an interim of 5.4pence per share
The Tate & Lyle Board has approved an interim dividend for the six months to 30 September 2022 of 5.4p (2021 - 9.0p). The interim dividend represents a 40% per share reduction from the prior year's interim dividend. After the effect of the share consolidation implemented in May 2022, this reduction is in-line with the previously communicated approach and reflects the smaller consolidated earnings base following the sale of the controlling stake in Primient, and is consistent with the step down in the final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2022. An underlying growth of 2.5% has been applied to the interim dividend. This dividend will be paid on 4 January 2023 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 25 November 2022. As well as the cash dividend option, shareholders will be offered a Dividend Reinvestment Plan alternative.
Tate & Lyle propose a final dividend of 12.8pence per share
The Tate & Lyle Directors have proposed a final dividend for the financial year of 12.8p per ordinary share that, subject to approval by shareholders, will be paid on 5 August 2022 to shareholders who are on the Register of Members on 1 July 2022.
Tate & Lyle announce an interim dividend increased by 2.3% to 9.0p
The Tate & Lyle Board has approved an increase in the interim dividend for the six months to 30 September 2021 of 0.2p to 9.0p. This will be paid on 5 January 2022 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 26 November 2021. As well as the cash dividend option, shareholders will be offered a Dividend Reinvestment Plan alternative.
Tate & Lyle announce a final dividend increased by 5.8% to 22.0p, making a full year dividend of 30.8p, up 4.1%
The Tate & Lyle Board recognises the importance of dividends to shareholders and operates a progressive dividend policy. Due to the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Board decided not to increase either the final dividend for the 2020 financial year or the interim dividend for the 2021 financial year. Given this year's robust performance, the Board is recommending a 1.2p or 5.8% increase in the final dividend to 22.0p (2020 - 20.8p) per share, bringing the full year dividend to 30.8p per share (2020 - 29.6p), an increase of 4.1%. This increase brings dividends back to a level consistent with the Board's progressive dividend policy, notwithstanding the pandemic.
Tate & Lyle announces an interim dividend maintained at 8.8p per share
The Tate & Lyle Board is recommending an unchanged interim dividend for the six months to 30 September 2020 of £41 million or 8.8p per share. This will be paid on 6 January 2021 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 20 November 2020. In addition to the cash dividend option, shareholders will continue to be offered a Dividend Reinvestment Plan alternative.

An increase in the interim dividend for the six months to 30 September 2019 of 0.2p to 8.8p has been approved by the Tate & Lyle Board. This will be paid on 3 January 2020 to all shareholders on the Register of Members on 22 November 2019. In addition to the cash dividend option, shareholders will continue to be offered a Dividend Reinvestment Plan alternative.
